Kaci Deanne Brown is an American pop and R&B singer. Born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, she moved with her family to Nashville, Tennessee at age 12 in 2001, where she signed a music publishing deal as a staff songwriter with Still Working Music, initially with the intention of developing a career in country music. Instead, she chose a pop career and toured with the Backstreet Boys. At age 17, she released her debut album Instigator via Interscope Records in 2005. She co-wrote all but one of the album's songs with producer Toby Gad. She has charted two singles on the U.S. Dance/Club Play Songs chart. Unbelievable and Instigator. She also released a music video for both singles. In 2008, Brown co-wrote G.E.M.’s “All About U” with David Gamson and Marc Nelkin. “All About U” was #1 on RTHK Chinese Pop, 3 on CRHK Ultimate 903, #2 Metro Radio Pop Chart 997, and #6 on JSG Billboard charts. In 2009, Pixie Lott cut Brown’s co-written “Nothing Compares” which was released on Lott’s “Turn It Up” album. The British Phonographic Industry certified the album double platinum, with sales of over one million copies in the UK. Featured on Greyson Chance’s debut album, “Hold On ‘Til the Night,” in 2010 Brown wrote “Cheyenne” and vocal produced “Home Is In Your Eyes,” “Little London Girl,” “Cheyenne,” and “Stranded.” In 2012, Brown’s “Back In Time” single was featured on Lifetime’s Dance Moms. In 2012, Brown married songwriter/producer, Beau Dozier, son of Motown’s Lamont Dozier. In 2012 Brown gave birth to daughter, Dawson Soleil Dozier. Brown-Dozier is currently writing for, vocal producing, and developing artists; with songs being considered by Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Lea Michele, Jennifer Hudson and more.
